SFA is an organization that is the first in the world to work on sustainability standards for cashmere. The organization focuses on research and development - where animal welfare, plant life, water resources and working conditions are strong. They help manufacturers meet the requirements and carry out training. They work across the cashmere industry from the shepherds, the factories, the authorities and the nature reserves. Where animal welfare and land management are highly valued so that water resources are not used up and the steppes are not worn down by grazing animals.
